Since Google announced the coming of its Android Market over a year ago and released its first Droid through Motorola last November, the frustration of application developers has mounted. Google executives bragged the new devices would be the first to truly compete with the formerly reigning iPhone; but a study released by Skyhook Wireless in December revealed that the Android Market has fallen way short of developers' expectations, with 82% of surveyed developers stating that the marketplace seems designed to bury their apps.
